Philodendron Plant Care
Philodendron is much like Pothos. This is a vine like plant, which comes in mostly green.
And of course they are so much fun to grow!!!
Environment
Philodendron is a tropical type plant. They love temperatures between 70F and 80F, which makes them awesome house plants! They also love medium lighted areas. Do Not leave in direct sunlight, this will burn the leaves which will result in brown spots. Given that they are tropical plants, they love humid environments, to simulate this at home try misting your plant once or twice a day.
Watering
I usually wait until the soil around the plant is completely dry before I water it. When watering, water thoroughly until the water is coming out the bottom. This should take place about once a week in the summer, and once every two or three weeks in the winter. However, do not let your plant sit in water. Too much water will result in the yellowing of leaves and lower leaves dropping off your plant.
Propagation
Cut a vine at a node (where a leaf comes out) and stick your cutting in a cup of water or some soil. I have much better success putting the cutting in soil. When you put the vine in soil, keep the soil moist but not soaked. Also keep the new plant in a well lit humid environment. You should have a new plant in about two weeks! :)
